The Indigenous Resguardos of Colombia: their contribution to conservation and sustainable forest use

This is the first in a series of documents to be published by the Guiana Shield Initiative (GSI) of the Netherlands Committee for IUCN. The GSI received funding from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dutch Government to lay the foundations for a long-term eco-regional project to finance sustainable development and conservation of the unique ecosystems of the Guiana Shield. This eco-region encompasses parts of Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil, and the whole of Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.  #indigenous #colombia #sustainable
