Colombia is one of the few countries where Swit- zerland is implementing three cooperation pro- grammes in a complementary manner in response to the multifaceted challenges prevailing in the country. Whereas the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) has developed an economic coopera- tion programme for Colombia covering the period 2013–2016, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and the Human Security Divi- sion (HSD) within the Directorate of Political Affairs have formulated a joint Swiss Cooperation Strategy Colombia 2014–2016 aimed at comprehensively ad- dressing the underlying causes and consequences of the con ict while concerting efforts and enhancing synergies.
